Meet the Longwood Rehab Staff

Daniel Best, MPT, MS, ATC

Dan BestBorn in Des Plaines, Illinois, Dan spent his youth in southern Indiana before settling in Rhode Island. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at Rhode Island College and went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Southern Connecticut State University.

As a graduate assistant at Southern Connecticut State University, Dan taught several classes in the prevention and care of athletic injuries. His experience includes being the Head Athletic Trainer for the Menís Division II National Champion Soccer program at Southern Connecticut State University and a semi-professional basketball team with the United States Basketball League. Dan then became the Head Athletic Trainer for American International College in Massachusetts, where he helped provide medical coverage for the Menís Division II National Basketball Championships. After moving to South Florida, he was afforded the opportunity to work closely in the rehabilitation, sports performance testing and conditioning of various professional athletes.

Dan returned to school and earned his Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he received honorable mention for his proficiency in manual therapy.

His practice offers outpatient orthopaedics and general physical therapy with specialization in spine care and sports injuries. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Florida Physical Therapy Association, the Private Practice Section of the APTA, the Orthopaedic Section of the APTA, and the National Athletic Trainers Association.

Linda Munitz

Linda Munitz has been with Longwood Rehabilitative Services since 1991. At that time, she was an aide to the physical therapist and helped with certain aspects of the patientsí treatment plan. In 1998, she had the opportunity to switch positions and run the front office. In this position she was responsible for the scheduling, customer service, authorizations, and billing. At present, Linda continues to manage the office and assist with patients as needed. She is also involved with the Wellness Center and helps with Centerís scheduling and administrative duties.
